Oltre ad aver ridotto a 10 i candidati, è uscita anche la shortlist per la Migliore Canzone Originale, che vede favorita “Mystery of Love” per gli Oscar 2018.
Qualche tempo fa l’Academy aveva reso nota la shortlist per i candidati ai Migliori Effetti Speciali. Oggi ne esce una versione aggiornata, ridotta a 10 film. Insieme ad essa, c’è anche la shortlist per la Migliore Canzone Originale.
A poco più di un mese dalle nomination dunque, la lista si riduce sempre di più. La sorpresa è che la favorita come Miglior Canzone Originale agli Oscar 2018 è proprio “Mystery of Love” di Sufjan Stevens, tratta da Chiamami col tuo Nome, il film di Luca Guadagnino che sta raccogliendo giudizi positivi dalla critica d’oltreoceano.
Ecco la shortlist per i Migliori Effetti Speciali agli Oscar 2018:
- Alien: Covenant
- Blade Runner 2049
- Dunkirk
- Guardiani della Galassia Vol. 2
- Kong: Skull Island
- Okja
- The Shape of Water
- Star Wars: Gli Ultimi Jedi
- Valerian e la città dei mille pianeti
- The War – Il pianeta delle scimmie
Dunque sono stati esclusi titoli importanti come Thor: Ragnarock, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Logan, Wonder Woman e Jumanji. I titoli più quotati sono ovviamente Dunkirk di Cristopher Nolan, atipico film di guerra; The Shape of Water di Guillermo del Toro, una fiaba dark forte della vittoria al festival di Venezia; e Blade Runner 2049 di Dennis Villeneuve, sequel del leggendario Blade Runner di Ridley Scott.
