Anche quest’anno come di consueto, prima della notte degli Oscar, si sono tenuti i Razzie Awards, Emoji – Accendi le Emozioni è il peggior film dell’anno.
Arrivato alla sua 38esima edizione, come da regola, i Golden Raspberry Awards sono stati consegnati ai peggiori film e alle peggiori personalità in ambito cinematografico. Le nomination avevano parecchio fatto discutere, visto le tre candidature date a mother! di Darren Aronofsky, tra cui peggior attrice, peggior regista e peggior attore non protagonista. Il protagonista assoluto però è stato Emoji – Accendi le emozioni, film d’animazione di Tony Leondis prodotto dalla Sony Pictures Animation e Columbia Pictures. Secondo sul podio il precedente capitolo della saga, Cinquanta sfumature di nero, che nell’edizione del 2015, con il primo film, aveva portato a casa ben 5 Razzie Awards.
