La Television Academy ha annunciato tutte le nominations per gli Emmy 2022. Con una live diretta da JB Smoove e Melissa Fumero, i nomi delle serie tv più apprezzate dell’anno sono stati rivelati. Quest’anno, la Television Academy ha deciso di non dichiarare apertamente quale piattaforma avesse ottenuto più candidati: l’obiettivo era sottolineare come al centro dell’interesse debbano essere le serie, e non le case produttrici.
D’altra parte, con un rapido calcolo risulta evidente che HBO ed HBO Max siano in testa con un totale di 140 nominations, seguiti da Netflix con 105. Molte delle serie candidate non sono nuove per gli Emmy: Succession, con 25 candidature, è la serie più nominata, seguita con il pari merito di Ted Lasso e White Lotus, con 20 nominations a testa. Ottimi risultati anche per Haks e Only Murders in the Building, entrambe con 17 nominations.
Tra le novità, invece, troviamo Severance, Yellowjackets e Squid Game. Ritorna in gara anche Euphoria con 16 nominations e un nuovo record per Zendaya: diventata nel 2020 la più giovane attrice premiata, con gli Emmy 2022 conquista non solo una seconda candidatura, ma anche il titolo di più giovane produttrice mai candidata. Ricordiamo che la cerimonia di premiazione si terrà il 12 settembre.
